Andrew joined Orion in 2010 and currently serves as the GIS Manager. He applies spatial research and map design expertise in the pursuit of renewable wind and solar energy sites across the United States.

Since 2003, Andrew has been honing his GIS skills through classroom instruction and field data collection. In 2004, he volunteered for the Student Conservation Association in Idaho, working on the federal project, LANDFIRE, a multi-partner project that collected spatial data to model hazardous fuel build-up areas. He began his career in the Bay Area in 2005, at the UC Berkeley Traffic Safety Center as a Research Associate, investigating problematic cross walks and pedestrian safety. Prior to joining Orion, Andrew worked for Dyett and Bhatia Urban and Regional Planners as a GIS Specialist in San Francisco, concentrating on general plans and zoning.

Andrew received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from the University of Delaware in 2004. In 2014 he attended the UC Berkeley Extension program and received a professional certificate in smart grid technology.
